A rug engine that gets smarter every day.
It scans fresh pump.fun coins around the clock on its own — trained on thousands of real coins, labelling each rugged or survived, learning which signal sequences precede a dump, and writing its own detection rules the moment a pattern crosses an 85% death rate. Growing while you sleep. No human in the loop.

RIPTIDE SCREENER

Whitepaper v1.0 · riptidescreener.app · watch-only rug detection for Solana

Riptide Screener is a live risk screener for brand-new Solana tokens. It watches launches as they happen, reads public on-chain behaviour, and scores each one for the patterns that tend to show up before a rug — while there is still time to walk away. It is watch-only: it never asks you to approve a transaction, never asks for a key, and has no ability to move anyone's funds.

1 · The problem

Most new launches fail, and a meaningful share of them fail on purpose. The same operators come back over and over — new ticker, new artwork, new story, same people behind it. By the time a chart shows you something is wrong, the exit is already finished.

The evidence is public. That is the frustrating part. It is all sitting on-chain in the open, but it arrives scattered across a dozen places and far too slowly for a human to assemble in the handful of minutes a launch actually gives you. Riptide exists to close that gap.

2 · What the tool does

  • Live screener — new launches as they appear, each with a risk read attached.
  • Deep scan — point it at any token and get a full breakdown of what it is looking at.
  • Watch-only wallet view — paste any address for real holdings, P&L and exposure. No login, no connection, no signature.
  • Related-wallet view — surfaces the accounts moving together around a launch.
  • Large-holder exit tracking — retained over time, so a wallet's history follows it into the next coin it touches.
  • Community reporting — anyone can flag a wallet. Tips are never trusted on their own; every report is checked against the chain before it can move anything.
  • Telegram alerts — the important calls reach you when the tab is closed.
  • A dashboard you build — panels, layout and watchlist saved to your account.

3 · How it works, in general terms

Riptide reads public data only — the blockchain itself plus public market feeds. Nothing it uses is private, and nothing it uses comes from you.

When a launch appears, Riptide records what it looks like at that moment and files it away. Later, it goes back and records what actually happened to it. Do that continuously and you end up with something no static rulebook can match: a growing library of what coins looked like before they died, checked against real outcomes rather than opinion.

The risk read you see is drawn from that library. Patterns that keep preceding failures carry more weight over time; patterns that turn out to mean nothing quietly lose it. Riptide also grades its own past calls — being wrong is fed back in as input rather than hidden.

4 · What is deliberately not published — and why

This is a rug detector. A published rulebook for a rug detector is an evasion manual.

So the specifics stay private: the individual signals, how they are weighted against each other, the thresholds, the timing, and the methods used to connect related wallets are not listed here and will not be handed over on request. The only people meaningfully helped by that list are the people trying to make a launch look clean.

Two things worth saying in fairness. First, it is not a fixed rulebook — what it weighs shifts as real outcomes come in, so even a leaked snapshot goes stale. Second, the honest way to judge a detector is its record: what it called, when it called it, and whether it was right. Riptide is built to be checked that way, not to be taken at its word.

5 · Watch-only by design

This is the part to hold us to, because it is a promise about what the software cannot do, not just what it chooses not to do.

  • Riptide never requests a transaction, a token approval, or a spend permission.
  • It cannot move, swap, sell, stake or withdraw funds. That capability does not exist in the code.
  • It will never ask for a private key or a seed phrase. Anything that does is not us — close the tab.
  • Wallet tracking runs from a pasted address alone. That is public information. No wallet connection is involved.
  • The one optional signature is a plain message signature used to confirm how much $RIPTIDE a holder has. It is free, costs no gas, is not a transaction, and authorises nothing.
  • Advice we give anyway: use a burner wallet, here and everywhere else.

6 · Data and privacy

Riptide runs on a distributed edge network rather than a server you have to trust. Recent results are held briefly so repeat lookups are fast and upstream providers are not hammered.

What is kept long-term is narrow: what launches looked like before their outcome was known, and your own settings. An account is a username and a one-way scrambled password — no email required, no wallet required, no plaintext password stored, and no keys of any kind, ever. Wallet addresses you paste in are public data and are used to answer your question, not to build a profile of you.

7 · $RIPTIDE

Utility. $RIPTIDE exists to gate and fund the tool. Tiered accounts — deeper access for larger holders — are the next thing being switched on. The core screener is intended to stay usable for everyone.

Treasury. 2,000,000 $RIPTIDE sits in a separate, dedicated wallet whose only job is upkeep: infrastructure, data feeds, running costs. It is sold only as needed, never speculatively, and any sell is announced before it happens. Creator rewards may be used to buy $RIPTIDE back into that treasury, so the tool's own traction funds it rather than holders doing it.

Burns. Coming. On-chain, verifiable, and announced ahead of time like everything else.

What it is not. $RIPTIDE is a utility token for access to a piece of software. It is not a share, it is not a stake in a company, and it carries no promise of profit, yield or revenue share. Nothing in this document is an offer, a solicitation, or financial advice.

8 · Limits — read this part

  • No detector is perfect. Expect false alarms, and expect misses. Anyone claiming otherwise is selling something.
  • A low risk read is not an endorsement, not a safety rating, and not a reason to buy.
  • Riptide does not predict price and does not try to. It reads behaviour, not charts.
  • Upstream data can lag, break, or be wrong, and Riptide inherits that.
  • A brand-new launch has almost no history to read. Early reads are the least certain reads.
  • Nothing here is financial advice. It is information to think with. Do your own research, and never risk money you cannot afford to lose.

9 · Where this goes next

Intentions, not promises: tiered accounts by tokens held, a live burns view, longer wallet history, broader alerting, and more independent data sources so no single provider can blind the system.

The direction does not change: read public data, learn from what actually happened, ask for nothing that could cost you anything.

🐋 Large wallet move = a top holder shifts a big chunk of supply. 🧬 Equal-balance wallets = several wallets holding near-identical amounts (a bundle/sybil fingerprint). Both hint at a rug being set up.
⚠ These rug-hint alerts re-check every 60s and rely on indexed on-chain data — they can be delayed by a minute or two. Treat them as early warnings, not guarantees.

Signing in only proves you control an address — it never moves funds. But the safest habit is to keep your login identity separate from the wallet holding your money.
1 Log in with an empty wallet A fresh, zero-balance wallet. If a signature request is ever malicious, there's nothing in it to take.
2 Track your real wallets separately Paste them as watch-only addresses. RIPTIDE only reads public on-chain data — it never needs signing access to the wallet you actually trade with.
We never ask you to approve a transaction. Only a signed message. If RIPTIDE ever prompts you to approve a transfer or token approval, it isn't us — close the tab.

RIPTIDE is a research tool, not financial advice.

Not financial advice. Risk scores and alerts are heuristics based on public on-chain data — they may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. A low score means no malicious structure was detected; it does not mean a coin is safe. Always do your own research. You are solely responsible for your decisions and any losses. Never risk more than you can afford to lose.
